“Amanda and I have yet to actually make this Swedish meatballs recipe, but we have eaten them often at my parents house and they are good. Unfortunately we oftentimes don’t have the time and we end up just going to Costco and getting their meatballs (which are also really good). If you have the time, this recipe is worth it.” -Jake

swedish meatballs

1 lb veal (it is optional to leave this out and do 2 lbs hamburger and 1 lb sausage)
1/2 lb sausage
3/4 lb hamburger
3 eggs
1/4 tsp cloves
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp nutmeg
3/4 tsp pepper
1 1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup celery
1 cup onion
3 slices of bread soaked in 1/4 cup milk
3 cans mushroom soup mix
2 pkg. saute mushrooms
2 cups sour cream (thin with milk)

Mix everything down to the bread together and form into meatballs. It should make about 30. Brown them in a skillet. In a big pot, put soup, mushrooms, and sour cream. Add meatballs and heat covered for 20 minutes and uncovered for 20 minutes. Serve over noodles. If you want in spaghetti or another recipe then don’t combine them with the mushroom soup mix.
